The Heart Center at Northeast Georgia Health System – has an opportunity for a Clinical Device Specialist to join our interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
This position functions under the supervision and medical direction of an Electrophysiologist and will perform interrogation and reprogramming as needed, on all types of Pacemakers and Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICDs). It also includes the professional evaluation of remotely monitored patient device reports and will troubleshoot basic, intermediate and advanced device issues.
Minimum of 1-2 years clinical cardiology experience required.
Strong background in rhythm identification.
Proven effective technical training and experience with interrogation and reprogramming of cardiac devices or degree or certification from appropriate trainings center preferred.
IBHRE certification preferred or must be willing to take within two years of employment.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia is desirable, but not required.
