The Division of Cardiology, Department of Internal Medicine at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center and the Albuquerque Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center, is seeking a Medical Director of Electrophysiology services. This position is open track and open rank. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and education. Minimum Requirements: 1) Board certified/board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease by date of hire; 2) Board certification /board eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology by date of hire; and 3) Eligible to work in the United States (this is not a J1 Visa opportunity). Desirables: 1) More than 3 years of clinical experience, with a proven track record of personal excellence in all aspects of clinical electrophysiology, including catheter ablation procedures and device implantation techniques; 2) The ability to manage all the clinical, educational and academic goals of an academic medical center EP section; 3) The ability and willingness to develop and maintain a rigorous quality assurance and quality improvement program; 4) Teaching experience at all levels of training.
