SALARY UP TO $265,000. The Associate Medical Director will be responsible for supervising and coordinating exceptional treatment for all inmates. The Associate Medical Director participates in the Quality Improvement Program and Infection Control Program, including review and action on inmate complaints. In addition, the new physician will supervise the clinical services provided by the professional staff. Additional responsibilities include: screening, interviewing and evaluating credentials of health care providers. Finally, the new Associate Medical Director will provide solid leadership and direction for the entire medical staff and promote the image of Taycheedah Correctional Institution and the Department's Women's Correctional System.
The facility is located on a campus-like setting and offers X-ray and PACS, digital EKG, ultra sound and physical therapy. On-site blood draws are sent to ACL Laboratories in Milwaukee for processing on a daily basis. A new infirmary is scheduled to be built on the grounds of Taycheedah this fall. The practice utilizes the specialties include Psychiatry, Optometry and Dental. In addition, a clinical nurse specialist is on-site for educating staff and will work closely with the Associate Medical Director.
