The Non-Invasive Cardiology Mgr. will function as a member of the UC Davis Heart and Vascular Center management team, and is responsible to assure that all operations are in compliance with budgetary as well as regulatory agency and health system requirements and standards. The Non-Invasive Cardiology Mgr. is responsible for maintaining the ICAEL accreditation of the Echocardiography Lab as well as a comprehensive continuous quality improvement program for all of Non-Invasive Cardiology. The Non-Invasive Cardiology Mgr. is responsible to effectively promote the public service, clinical, teaching, and research missions of the UCDHS Cardiology Program.
Non-Invasive Cardiology Manager Qualifications:
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS/RCS).
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare field.
5 years recent supervisory experience in an acute care setting.
Advanced knowledge and skills to perform a full range of adult Echocardiography procedures.
Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively participate in organizational problem solving, staff performance evaluations, and conflict resolution within a multidisciplinary work force environment.
Working knowledge of the technical techniques, indications for and complications of all major non-invasive cardiology procedures, including; cardiac stress testing, and EKG.
Advanced knowledge of the physiology, symptoms and treatments of CAD, CHF and major dysthymias.
Knowledge of and experience with performance improvement.
Knowledge of Title 22, Joint Commission, IAC/ICAEL and UCDMC policy requirements.
Master's degree in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred.
