Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
Exciting Pediatric Nurse Practitioner opportunity in Beautiful Fairfax, Virginia!
Pediatric Cardiology Associates, an established six-physician practice, is currently seeking a pediatric nurse practitioner to work exclusively in an outpatient capacity at their main office in Fairfax, VA. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The practice has five clinics throughout Northern Virginia and provides consults to 15 area hospitals. Their primary hospital relationship is with Inova Fairfax Hospital, a tertiary care hospital with a 226-bed, state-of-the-art children's hospital offering the highest level of care in Northern Virginia. The practice employs its own sonographers and is currently using NextGen for scheduling and documenting.
Responsibilities of the position include:
Evaluating patients with chest pain, syncope, palpitations, hypertension and elevated cholesterol
Seeing sports clearance and preventive care patients, including patients who have hypercholesterolemia, hypertension or obesity
Seeing follow up patients to review test results (e.g., event monitors, Holter monitors, etc.)
Supervising stress tests
Providing patient education and nutrition and exercise counseling, ordering laboratory work-ups, and coordinating other necessary care and referrals
