The Respiratory Therapy Manager directs therapeutic patient care services in accordance with the policies of the hospital and direction of the medical staff. The Respiratory Therapy Manager is responsible for the administration of oxygen, therapeutic gas, and mist inhalation to patients in accordance with physicians' orders.
The Respiratory Therapy Manager prepares and maintains the employee work schedule
The Respiratory Therapy Manager prepares and maintains necessary statistical data, reports, directories, memoranda, as required.
The Respiratory Therapy Manager prepares and administers the annual departmental budget
The Respiratory Therapy Manager maintains and stores equipment and gases in accordance with state and hospital safety regulations.
The Respiratory Therapy Manager evaluates new equipment and techniques
The Respiratory Therapy Manager directs the prevention maintenance and repair of equipment
The Respiratory Therapy Manager maintains appropriate inventory
The Respiratory Therapy Manager updates department plans, goals and objectives.
The Respiratory Therapy Manager directs the audit and evaluation of respiratory care.
The Respiratory Therapy Manager conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company's Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
The Respiratory Therapy Manager promotes adherence to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and the Corporate Compliance Agreement by monitoring employee performance and identifying and responding to compliance issues.
Education: The Respiratory Therapy Manager will have a Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Administration.
Licenses/Certification: The Respiratory Therapy Manager will be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care. He/She must have a state licensure in the state they will be working in as well as BCLS and ACLS certifications. An ACLS instructor preferred. The Respiratory Therapy Manager must maintain currency of NBRC and BCLS/ACLS Certifications and State license.
Experience: The Respiratory Therapy Manager will have a minimum of three years of previous experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services.
