RN NICU Level III
Level III NICU nurse is equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide continuous life support and comprehensive care for extremely high-risk newborn infants and those with complex and critical illness. These skills include comprehensive care for extremely low birth weight infants (1000 g birth weight or less and 28 or less weeks' gestation); advanced respiratory care such as high-frequency ventilation and inhaled nitric oxide.
Provides cardiopulmonary support for critically ill newborns and extremely low birth weight infants.
Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill.
Collaborates with the patient's designated care partner to meet the educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of the patient.
Provides age appropriate developmental care.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to ensure infants well-being.
Demonstrate Service Excellence Standards at all times.
