HealthPartners is seeking a VP of Operations and Hospital Specialty Services to work at Regions Hospital in St. Paul and support other sites in the Twin Cities. This leader will work in collaboration with a physician dyad partner across Regions Hospital and HealthPartners Medical Group and have accountability for 5 key clinical service lines including, cardiovascular, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, critical care and trauma and emergency medical services. Accountabilities for this position includes a focus on the opportunities to improve health, experience and affordability across the hospital, medical group and outreach venues. They will represent these service lines in addition to the overall organization within the community and play a lead role partnering internally with physicians, clinicians, leaders and staff as well as external providers, hospitals, and public agencies. They will also provide leadership and direction to the organization-wide focus on clinical best practices, identifying and measuring outcomes, and developing approaches that make care more affordable. Points of direct integration in this matrixed environment include physician practice management, hospital operations, performance improvement, measurement and data (informatics), care management (health plan), patient representation (complaint resolution), and process improvement.

What We Expect From You
Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in health care related field.
10+ years of leadership experience with at least two years functioning at the level of strategic positioning of specialty care or senior hospital operations business unit. Previous accountability at a Vice President level preferred
Financial management skills
Problem-solving, leadership, team-building, mentorship and staff development skills.
Multi-disciplinary collaboration skills.
Ability to work with multiple accountabilities across separate corporations within one healthcare delivery system.
Orientation toward transactions and operationalization of key strategies and relationships.
