The Surgery Technician scrubs for surgical procedures in the Operating Room at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, as assigned under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The Surgery Technician provides safe cost-effective patient care throughout the preoperative, intra-operative, and post-operative periods to the Operating Room patient according to established LBMMC standards.
-2+ years of experience as a Surgical Technician in an Operating Room with a specialization in Cardiac surgery is required.
-Pediatric and Adult Congenital cardiac surgery experience is preferred.
-Certified Surgical Technician is preferred
-Graduation from a surgical technician program or equivalent training is required.
-A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) certification is required
