This position reports to Director of Nursing, Surgical Services. This position directs the departmental activities and supervision of RNs, technologists and other ancillary personnel. Has responsibility for quality and quantity of work, costs, and methods, maintenance of discipline, transfers, promotions, performance appraisals, salary increases and terminations. Responsible for planning and executing growth strategies in the department. Performs outreach to physicians to promote Cath Lab services and build positive reputation for department amongst local providers.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; OR: Successful completion of an accredited two-year Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist or Radiological Technologist program
Minimum five (5) years recent Cath Lab experience
Management experience preferred
Current California RN License; OR: Current licensure as a Certified Radiologic Technologist by the State of California and Certified Radiologic Technologist Fluoroscopy (State of CA License);
Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA certified);
Current ACLS certification (AHA certified);
Advanced registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in cardiovascular and interventional imaging (CV-I) preferred.
