Serves as the Senior Director Planned Giving for Geisinger Health Foundation. Oversees the planning and implementation of the Planned Giving Program for the benefit of the Geisinger Health System and its affiliates.
Works with the CPO and System leaders to advance the philanthropic commitment by patients, physicians, employees, community members and others in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and donors’ wishes. Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of the health system in its efforts to provide quality patient care and patient satisfaction. Is directly involved in the identification, cultivation, stewardship and solicitation of major and leadership gift donors.
Works in close collaboration with the Vice President of Philanthropy as well as the offices of Sponsored Programs, Industry Relations, and others to assure the optimal integration of all efforts to secure planned gifts.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of proven experience in a position of similar responsibility, including previous management / supervisory experience. Master’s degree preferred in business administration or related field. Experience in Planned Giving, and Research preferred. Demonstrated working knowledge of an integrated health care system is preferred.

GEISINGER MEDICAL CENTER: (GMC), located Danville, Pa., the largest tertiary/quaternary care teaching hospital in the region, is licensed for 475 beds, including 89 pediatric beds in the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital. GMC, a Magnet Hospital, maintains the region’s only Level 1 Regional Resource Trauma Center with additional qualifications in pediatrics. GMC offers an array of highly specialized medical and surgical services, including neurosciences, cardiovascular services, transplantation, women’s health (in the Women’s Pavilion), oncology and orthopaedics. The Hospital for Advanced Medicine serves as an integrated center for the most critical patients. Outpatient services are available on and off campus.
