The Special Procedures Technologist performs invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures and is responsible for the operation and quality assurance of film processing, patient monitoring and the x-ray equipment. The Special Procedures Technologist participates in the daily activities of the section by assisting as a scrub, float, and imaging technologist.
ARRT (R) required. Cardiovascular Interventional (CV) or Vascular Interventional (VI) registry required. VI registry eligible individuals will have two (2) years to acquire registry. Failure to gain VI registry within 2 years will result in termination of employment. AHA (American Heart Association) CPR Certification provided through Cape Fear Valley Training & Development only.
