Performs nonprofessional nursing tasks in the care and comfort of primarily adult and geriatric patients with acute and chronic illness. Performs specific treatments/procedures under the direction of the RN. Maintains clean and orderly patient care areas, equipment and supplies. Restocks inventories and supplies to keep supplies readily available. May be needed to work beyond the regular tour of duty or in another patient care unit as assigned by the department head or nursing supervisor. Knowledge of adherence to monitoring of and compliance of all regulatory and licensing agency guidelines including but not limited to TJC, OSHA, ACHA,
High School Diploma or equivalent Current BLS Certification Basic arrhythmia course Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language Visual and hearing senses must be adequate to assess/detect changes in human physiological condition Ability to work effectively in fast paced, stressful environment
