The TRA Patient Care Associate will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the TRA Patient Care Associate provides individualized, culture-specific patient care by attending to the personal needs and comfort of patients. Assists the professional or licensed nurse as delegated in tasks requiring less technical skills. Participates in shift and bedside report, performs clerical/reception unit clerk duties as assigned, and assists in promoting an organized, efficient, smoothly functioning unit. Participates and supports regional, facility, department, and unit initiatives.
Program requirements include:
Employees must be willing to work across multiple San Antonio Baptist Health System facilities to include Baptist Medical Center, Mission Trail Baptist, North Central Baptist, North East Baptist, Saint Lukeï¿½s, Resolute health hospital, and Tenet facilities in their respective market.
Employees are required to work a minimum of two (2) total shifts per month, one (1) weekend shift per month, and one (1) holiday per year, (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas)
High school diploma or equivalent GED
One year experience in acute care setting as nursing assistant,
CPR ï¿½ required
Patient Care Assistant Program; EKG training in selected units - required
