Performs all aspects of echocardiography examinations with a high level of competence and professionalism to all types of patients regardless of age, under the direct supervision of the echo lab supervisor.All facets of procedures, including but not limited to TEEs and TTE (echocardiograms).This position ensures that accurate and complete documentation and communication with Cardiologist regarding clinical history and direct observation from all technical personnel.Must demonstrate good organizational skills in order to maintain efficient work flow and adaptability in accommodating emergency and add-on exams.Required to participate in on-call coverage for the modality as part of the essentials of the job requirement.
Coordinates work flow in department and other areas of hospital
Provides professional and technical guidance and confers with medical staff as appropriate
Assures availability and functioning of supplies and equipment
Oversees Imaging students and evaluates assigned students
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (including required licenses/certifications, education and job knowledge/experience):
Graduate of an approved Program of Ultrasonography/Imaging Program
ARDMS (AE) or CCI (RCS). Current BLS Certification required.
