Uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricles, atria and quantify blood flow. Assists the physician with complex ultrasound procedures.
ï¿½ Cardiovascular certificate preferred. ï¿½ One to two years of ultrasound experience in echocardiography required. ï¿½ Successful completion of Ultrasound School required. ï¿½ Current BLS certification ï¿½ ARDMS Certification
ï¿½ Must be able to work independently. ï¿½ Must be able to communicate effectively. ï¿½ Must be able to take department calls. ï¿½ Maintains records of all procedures performed, sends reports to requesting physicians and secures the tape and text of patient examinations.
