The incumbent is responsible for the performance of transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE). The cardiac sonographer must be able to identify and record anomalies indicative of disease and injury or other medically significant conditions from ultrasound imaging and Doppler recordings. Must be able to identify acute and chronic cardiac disease along with signs and symptoms of both processes, and identify critical findings and report them to the cardiologist.
