High Acuity, Busy Level-III NICU with Resident and Fellow Teaching Opportunities
Seeking a 12th BC/BE neonatologist to join our Southern California program at Miller Children's and Women's Hospital in Long Beach (MCWHLB).
MCWHLB has approximately 5,500 deliveries/year with 1,400 admissions/year and an average daily census of 60 in our level III NICU regional referral center
In addition to our affiliated group of maternal-fetal medicine physicians, there is full on-site pediatric medical and surgical subspecialty support including a pediatric cardiovascular program
Services offered include a Small Baby Unit, whole body cooling, iNO, Palliative Care Program and a Neonatal Psychologist.
Our NICU is a leading training site for pediatric residents and neonatology fellows from the University of California Irvine (UCI), providing teaching and research opportunities.
Active participation in our robust CQI program is a must.

The area enjoys a lovely Mediterranean climate with an average of 333 sunny days per year. There are 5.5 miles of breathtaking waterfront to enjoy by bicycle or foot.
