Northern Virginia’s premier cardiology group is seeking a general cardiologist. Level 2 training and BC/BE in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology is required. Our 51 physician group provides services in multiple hospitals and clinical sites. The specific location for which are seeking is the Loudon/Purcellville region. We pride ourselves in our ability to provide comprehensive cardiovascular services, including hospital and office based diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, clinical consultation and management, a distinct EP program and active clinical research program. We are recognized as leaders in the area providing the highest quality, state-of-the-art cardiology services and medical interventions. We work closely and in alignment with the major regional Health System, but remain an independent practice with local governance and strong physician and administrative leadership. We are committed to our patients and employees, and have successfully developed cooperative, proactive, long-standing relationships with employers, insurance companies, and other health care providers. The group delivers services from nine area offices and seven hospitals. We have over 135,000 patient visits per year, perform over 20,000 Echo based studies, 6000 nuclear studies and 3000 catheterizations and have an active structural heart program. Most of our physicians have academic appointments and/or participate in a variety of teaching programs locally.
The Northern Virginia suburbs of the Washington, D.C. metro area offers top rated, well-funded public and private schools and top ranked colleges and universities. The area has a strong economic base and a diverse population. The position we are seeking to fill is in Loudon county. This is one of the fastest growing counties in the US, with approximately 30% growth over the last decade. The average income is one of the highest in the nation. To meet this growth, the major hospital in that county has just completed a brand new inpatient tower. The system is committed to continued expansion in that region and our practice will be a key part of that plan. The area’s climate offers a change of season without wide range extremes in nature allowing for year round outdoor activities. Residents enjoy a variety of social, recreational and cultural activities and easy travel options for those who enjoy getting away from it all.
We desire a cardiology board eligible or board certified physician with training in all aspects of general and consultative cardiology. Board eligibility or certification in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology is required. BC/BE in peripheral vascular imaging and advanced cardiac imaging (PET, CT, MRI) is desirable but not required. The compensation package includes bonus and a partnership track that is based on experience and performance. If you are interested in affiliating yourself with a dynamic, progressive and growth oriented organization with a strong culture based on teamwork and clinical excellence, then we encourage you to contact us.
