Fairview Health Services is searching for enthusiastic RNs looking for a rewarding career in our busy Heart Center Unit located at our Edina, Minnesota campus. This position will be offered between 56 to 72 hours every two weeks on the night shift, 8 hour shifts with every other weekend. Benefit eligible.
The Heart Center is a 35 bed unit. Our team cares for a variety of cardiac patients including Heart Failure, Cardiomyopathy, Acute Coronary Syndrome, Cardiac Dysrhythmias and many other cardiac diagnosis. We utilize computerized charting. The unit is fast paced and challenging, with many learning opportunities. Candidates with superb customer service and a positive attitude will be considered for this position.

Conducts ongoing assessments as determined by patients condition and/or the hospital policies, procedures or protocols and reprioritizes care accordingly.
Pain Management including; administer medications, record, assess and observe patient progress, reactions and symptoms.
Establish and implement nursing care plans for each patient through assessment, development, activation, evaluation and discharge.
Organize, assign and responsibilities of other staff members as a team leader.
Maintains confidentiality in matters related to patient, family and facility.
Participate in non-clinical assignments, which may include serving on special committees.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate

2+Years of RN Hospital Acute Cardiac Care experience
Demonstrate the ability to work under stress in a variety of situations.
