The cardiology staff physician serves as a consultant to other physicians for patients with cardiovascular diseases and has responsibility for providing cardiovascular care in a variety of practice environments including the outpatient clinic and the acute care wards. Additionally, he or she would be expected to answer electronic consults and perform tele health visits as well as perform/interpret diagnostic tests including transesophageal echocardiograms and electrical cardioversions.
