Performs patient assessments and develops, implements, monitors and evaluates exercise programs for patients.Also provides patient education and leads exercises for people with medical limitations such as cardiac related illnesses. Participates in the departmentï¿½s performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
The above duties also apply to the pulmonary rehab program and the employee gym.
Baccalaureate in Exercise Science or related degree.
Masters Degree preferred.
Completed an internship or equivalent experience in cardiac rehabilitation.
BLS certification within thirty days of hire date..
ACLS certification within thirty days of hire date.
