JFK Memorial Hospital has provided medical care to residents in the Coachella Valley since 1966. A group of physicians, including Dr. Reynaldo Carreon, founded the hospital and today one of JFK�s cross streets is named in his honor.

Originally called Indio Community Hospital, JFK has grown to a 145-bed acute-care hospital that is part of Tenet Healthcare California. It offers a variety of services, including:

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Adult Care for the Elderly (ACE) Monitor Tech accurately transcribes and processes all patient care orders to completion. Acts as the communication hub for the department. Performs departmental record keeping. Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology. Orders, stocks and organizes office and unit supplies. Maintains an accurate census and communicates this to all appropriate departments in a timely and effective manner.
Accurately and completely interprets cardiac rhythm strips and verifies appropriate and safe settings of alarms in collaboration with the nursing staff. Notifies RN of any changes in the patient�s rhythm strip in a timely manner. Accounts for the telemetry units on a shift by shift basis and will report any discrepancy.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Successful completion of a Basic EKG Course
2.Successful completion of Medical Terminology Course or equivalent
3.Prior experience as a Unit Secretary preferred
4.Basic computer skills
