This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Learn more The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) position is primarily located in the Medical VA Care Line at the Bath VA Medical Center in Bath, NY. However, there may be times the incumbent will assist with coverage at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center in Canandaigua, NY and the Rochester VA Outpatient Clinic in Rochester, NY. Duties The Finger Lakes Healthcare System is seeking an experienced Cardiology NP to provide independent consultation and treatment on patients with cardiovascular disease. Duties include working with other nurse practitioners and staff cardiologists to provide daily ambulatory/outpatient Cardiology clinic services primarily at our Bath VAMC. Occasionally, this NP may be asked to cover at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center and the Rochester VA Outpatient Clinic as needed. The VA Finger Lakes Cardiology Program has the capacity to perform a wide variety of outpatient Cardiology services including echocardiograms, stress tests, stress echoes, rhythm monitoring, and TEEs. The duties will include providing telecardiology services throughout the VA Finger Lakes Healthcare System. A significant duty is providing care coordination with other VA clinics as well as clinics in the community.
