M Heath Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina is seeking a CV Radiologic Technologist for a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2 weeks) that is full benefit eligible. This role is part of a multi modality team, whom serviced over 4000 procedures in 2020. The technologist will assist physicians in coronary and electro-physiology rooms, once oriented. Procedures done in the Cath Lab department include; Diagnostic and interventional coronary procedures as well as TAVR, WATCHMAN, and Robotic PCI, device implants, ablations. Radiology staff support radiation safety, image management, and utilize infection control standards.
Typical working hours for the role are 8:00am-4:30pm M-F. The position will take overnight call one shift per week and be avail to work late one shift per week on a as needed basis to supportthe operation of the hospital. Weekend call is required every 4th or 5th weekend along with one major and one minor holiday per year. Call requirement is to be at the hospital within 30 minutes.
Perform procedures with technical accuracy in a timely manner. Position patients, as required to achieve quality diagnostic images, according to departmental protocol.
Ensure proper patient identification on all images and complete all computer functions according to departmental policies including proper film marking, electronic transfer of images, scheduling, tracking, charging and film jacket preparation.
Assists Radiologist and/or staff physician in special procedure performance to expedite patient
Participate in the orientation and training of new employees and students.
Participates in the departmental quality assurance and quality improvement plan, following all appropriate protocols.
Provide appropriate patient care during imaging procedures.
Maintain rooms and properly operate and care for imaging equipment.
Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
BLS - Must be current and from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
1 year of experience in Special Procedure Department/Cath Lab
Willing to learn coronary anatomy and physiology as well as support devices such as Impella, balloon pump, and ECMO
ARRT MRI certification or successful completion within 18 months of hire
