The Medical Assistant / MA / Phlebotomist will function as a member of the health care team who will work in a fast paced, high volume walk in lab. Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant / MA / Phlebotomist will include phlebotomy and specimen collection. The Medical Assistant / MA / Phlebotomist will be required to obtain appropriate blood specimens by venipuncture, heel stick and fingerstick.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program. Medical Assistants must become certified within 90 days of hire OR a Credentialed MA (Certified/Registered).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain within 6 months of employment date.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Excellent oral communication skills required.
Computer skills required.
Associates Degree preferred.
Prior outpatient experience preferred
