Learn more at www.multicarejobs.orgPosition SummaryThe Polysomnography (PSG) Technician performs general Sleep Lab procedures on Inpatients and Outpatients for diagnostic and therapeutic testing. Perform hook-ups and monitoring patients sleep in accordance with the quality guidelines in the departmental policy and procedure manual. Document all observations during studies and keep concise and neat notes. Orient nasal CPAP patients to the CPAP testing procedure and the equipment they may be using at home. Collect, print, and review oximetry data on all sleep patientsMinimum RequirementsRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Registered PSG Technician (RPSGT) required. If, RRT, RPSGT required within twoyears of hire date. Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred. If not current, obtain within one year of hire date.Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.Education/Licenses/CertificationsTwo years of college education / training as a PSG Technician preferred.
