The role you’ll contribute:
The Events Manager, under the guidance of leadership, is responsible for managing and executing all campus-specific event activities for AdventHealth Tampa, a tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, FL.
Under the direct management and leadership of the Executive Director of Marketing for Hillsborough County, works closely with hospital and WFD staff on event-related initiatives for AdventHealth Tampa. Supports initiatives for the hospital, consumers, physicians, and all affiliated outpatient services through execution of events. Responsible for consistency and continuity of the AdventHealth brand in all communications and activations, including collateral related to events.
Regularly liaises with Division Corporate Communications and Brand and Marketing teams. Manages internal activations on campus, including events for employees, physicians, volunteers, leaders, etc.
Leads frequent house-wide activations and events in the areas of town halls/chats, employee appreciation activities, and annual activities such as holiday party, Doctors’ Day, nurses/hospital week, etc. As directed, manages communications internally to communicate events activities to appropriate audiences.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
In partnership with hospital, WFD, and corporate leadership, leads execution of events activities to achieve goals for AdventHealth Tampa.
Actively and frequently collaborates with WFD and corporate marketing and communications teams to review and deploy local strategies as appropriate/directed.
Effectively collaborates with volunteers and team members to execute events.
Ability to plan, direct, and implement community-based and partner events while identifying strategic relationships that build the AdventHealth brand.
Oversees planning, strategy and execution for house-wide internal campus events and activations, including but not limited to: town halls/chats, annual celebrations such as the team member holiday party, Doctors’ Day, Nurses/Hospital week and myriad team member appreciation activities throughout the year. Supports physician engagement events activities to include: Physician Mixers and Physician Town Halls.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Mass Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, Healthcare Administration, or similar field. Master’s degree preferred.
4+ years of management experience in event planning, communications, and marketing.
Prior experience in health care industry preferred.
