Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Registered Respiratory Therapist primarily working 7a-7p at Morristown Medical Center.
Essential Job Function:
Administering safe and competent respiratory care
Reviewing and communicating physician orders
Administering of medications
Performing patient assessments
Understanding implication of hemodynamic and pulse oximetry monitoring
Performing arterial blood punctures and analysis
Assisting with transport and monitoring of ventilated patients
Documenting therapeutic information in the patient's medical record and on other forms
Assisting with lifting, rolling and proning of patients
Performing according to approved infection control policies and procedures
Working with the diagnostic teams is areas of bedside bronchoscopy and COPD education
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associate of Science degree from an accredited respiratory therapist program required
Bachelor's Degree storngly preferred
Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
Credentialed as Certified or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist, expected to have or obtain with 12 months of hire
Active license for Respiratory Therapy in New Jersey required
Advanced and Basic Life Support certification required
1-2 years of Respiratory Care experience strongly preferred
Critical care experience strongly preferred
Previous experience with PFT studies and cardiopulmonary testing strongly preferred
Current or past experience with EPIC charting strongly preferred
