SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible for administering advanced life support care on 911 emergency incidents and during transportation of patients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
High School Diploma or equivalent
Paramedic certification OR PHRN (Pre-Hospital Registered Nurse) certification within in the Commonwealth of PA. Those with out of state paramedic certification or PHRN certifications must obtain the Commonwealth of PA certification within 30 days of hire.
Basic Life Support certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
A valid Driver's License is required and eligible to operation an EMS vehicle in the Commonwealth of PA
Completion of approved Emergency Vehicle Operations Training program AND Commonwealth of PA EMSVO within 30 days of hire of hire NIMS (100, 200, 700 & 800) is required within 30 days of start date
Hazmat awareness training is required within 30 days of employment
Must obtain Medical Command within 90 days of start date
