Financial Analyst - Tax

We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated financial professional to support IU Health's tax function through transactional processing, tax filings, and continuous improvement efforts. This role works closely with senior financial analysts and cross-functional partners to ensure accurate, timely tax reporting and compliance while supporting process efficiency and data integrity.

Key Relationships

Reports to: Director - Finance

Direct reports: None

Shift: Full-Time, Hybrid schedule

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Responsibilities:

• Prepares income tax returns for federal, state, and local tax returns consisting of both taxable and tax-exempt organizations.

• Prepares the sales tax filing, reporting and payment processes.

• Prepares the property tax filing and payment processes.

• Prepares the excise filing and payment processes.

• Provides ongoing analysis, development, and implementation of methods and systems to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of the area.

• Month end responsibilities and other duties as assigned.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for this position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.

• 0-3 years of relevant experience required.

• Requires proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products/applications; strong Microsoft Excel experience required; relational database and financial or operational modeling experience a plus.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Motivated and self-driven with a continuous process improvement mindset.

• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.

• Ability to work with other functional groups.

• Knowledge of US GAAP.
